• Construction began Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
• The intersection is now signalized and all lanes are open to traffic.
  • There will still be some finishing work, but this will be done with minimal impact to traffic.

May 31 – Early June 2016 (1-2 weeks)

• Traffic will remain on existing westbound and eastbound of WIS 16, but reduced to 1-lane in each direction with width restrictions.
• Constructing temporary widening.

Note: Friday, June 3, 2016 – the WIS 16/WIS 60 intersection will become an ALL WAY STOP condition.

Early June – Early August 2016

• Intersection is now an all way stop.
• All WIS 16 traffic bi-directional on existing westbound lanes. 1-lane in each direction with width restrictions.
• Commerce Drive will have a short term (1-2 day) closure, during this please use Transit Road to Commerce Drive.
• Constructing new eastbound lanes of WIS 16 and constructing WIS 60 half at a time.

Early August – Mid-October 2016

• All WIS 16 traffic bi-directional on new eastbound lanes. 1-lane in each direction with width restrictions. Intersection is an all way stop.
• Constructing new westbound lanes of WIS 16 and constructing Columbus Fall River Road and Frontage Road North (BP Travel Center access) half at a time.

Mid-October– Late October 2016

• Traffic on new WIS 16 westbound and eastbound, but reduced to 1-lane in each direction with width restrictions. Intersection is an all way stop.
• Traffic signals/lights are now operating at the intersection.
• Finishing work in the median areas along WIS 16.

Traffic impacts/detours

WIS 16 and WIS 60 will remain open to traffic during construction. Traffic will be reduced to 1-lane each direction with lane width restrictions. The WIS 16/WIS 60 intersection will be an all way stop for the duration of construction.
