Project Overview

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will improve US 12 (Wisconsin Dells Parkway) between WIS 13 and E. Adams Street in Lake Delton and Wisconsin Dells. Project improvements include:

  • Replacement of the pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, signals, pedestrian crossings and street lighting.
  • WIS 13 to County A:
    • Reconstructing and shifting the 4-lane highway, with a raised median to allow for a new sidewalk on the west side.
  • County A to E. Adams Street:
    • Reconstructing the highway into a 5-lane roadway with two lanes in each direction separated by a two-way left-turn lane (TWLTL) in the median.
  • A shared use path will also be constructed on the west side of the road between County A and Olympus Road.
  • Private utilities will also be relocating some of their facilities before and during the project.
