Stage 5 road construction work will begin on Monday, March 31, on the US 45 (Lovers Lane) reconstruction project from Rawson Avenue to College Avenue in Franklin. Stage 5 moves all traffic to the outside lanes to complete median and lighting work. US 45 will remain open to traffic throughout construction.

Traffic Updates – Week of 03/31/2025:

• Beginning Monday, March 31, all northbound and southbound traffic on Lovers Lane will be moved to one outside lane in each direction. The inside lanes will be closed to complete crossover removals, median work, install remaining streetlights, and permanent pavement markings.
  • The median at Venture Drive will be closed during this stage for construction and safety reasons. Access will be limited to right turn in on NB and right turn out onto NB. If coming from the North, a U-Turn should be completed at either Whitnall Edge Road or Speedway Drive.
  • Existing turn lanes at Speedway Drive and temporary turn lanes at the remaining side roads will be made available.
  • This closure is estimated to last to last about 5 weeks, weather permitting.
