The projects will address a deteriorating box culvert structure and 2.85 miles of deteriorating pavement on WIS 78 between Sauk City and I-39 in Columbia County and Sauk County. The projects will consist of replacing the box culvert structure 0.23 miles north of Blau Drive, and resurfacing WIS 78 from V Merrimac N Limit to County DL in with a 3 ½ – inches mill and asphalt overlay.

Additional improvements include:

• Replace the approach asphaltic material at the box culvert north of Blau Drive
• Structure work on box culvert
• Installation of new guardrail to meet current standards
• Installation of gravel shoulders to match the final roadway elevation
• Installation of permanent pavement marking
