Anticipated work scheduled: Crews will:

• Install traffic control
• Begin sawcutting
• Begin stump removal operations
• Replace culverts

Traffic impacts (the next 10 days):

• WIS 55 will be closed to thru traffic from County VV (West) to the Langlade County Line for patching and grading operations starting Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026. Thru traffic will be detoured via WIS 22, County R, County H, WIS 32 and WIS 64. Access by local traffic and emergency services will be maintained throughout the closure. The closure is anticipated to continue until mid-October.
• On Sept. 10 and 11, while crews replace a culvert between Fanny Lamay Road and Bear Trap Falls Road, the road will be fully closed and only travel for emergency services will be maintained.
• Shoulders will be closed in various locations along WIS 47 for grading work.
