Project Overview

The proposed action on WIS 50 from Geneva National Ave to Forest St in Walworth Co is 6.5 miles in length and will consist of milling 4” of the existing asphaltic pavement and placing 5.5” of new asphaltic overlay. This treatment will improve the surface and extend the life of the roadway. Additional improvements include beam guard replacement, shoulder gravel replacement, addition of shoulder rumble strips as a preventative safety measure, pavement marking and signing. There will also be minor repairs made on two box culverts located at Theatre Road and Geneva Street

Traffic Impacts

• Traffic heading west has one open lane on the outside
  • Inside lane is closed
• Traffic heading east has been opened
  • Exceptions are west of Geneva Street and east of Kenyon Drive
• Tentative Look Ahead: Change in current traffic control to occur later next week
