- The project will begin March 14, 2016 and will continue through October 2016.
Resident and Business Meetings
- Due to a lack of attendance, all further resident and business meetings are cancelled. Property owners are still encouraged to make direct contact with the project leader or manager if they have concerns or questions.
Traffic impacts/detours
- In order to safely pave and prevent long delays, there will be a detour on the south half of the WIS 35 project, beginning at WIS 157/Main Street and ending at the US 53 and WIS 35 interchange. On Tuesday, October 18, southbound traffic will be detoured from WIS 35 south to US 53 and then to WIS 157/Main Street and back to WIS 35 south. Northbound traffic will not be detoured, but there will be flagging during paving operations. On Wednesday, October 19, north bound traffic will be detoured from WIS 157/Main Street to US 53 and back to WIS 35 northbound. Southbound traffic will not be detoured, but there will be flagging during paving operations. Accommodations will be in place to get traffic across the closed lane as needed on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursday, October 20, the roundabouts at Riders Club Road and Mason Street will be closed for paving. The road will be open to Sunset Vista Court on the south end and Hilltop Drive on the north end, for local traffic and to businesses during roundabout paving. Through traffic should still follow the detour. The daily detours are expected to last from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- The road will be open to traffic, but speed limits will be reduced through the work zone.
- Lane widths will be restricted during much of the project, and while there will be one lane of traffic each direction, there will be no turn lanes or shoulders.
- Travelers are encouraged to use US 53 if possible.
Business Access Changes
- Angelini’s Restaurant access has been moved to Sunset Vista Road near the new roundabout.
- Breidenbach Chiropractic access has been moved to Penney Lane.
- The Pour House access has been moved to Evergreen Way.
