Traffic impacts

Project update

STH 19 Traffic Update: IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR NEXT WEEK

  • Bruenig Boulevard, Schumacher Road, and Hogan Road south are scheduled to reopen next Thursday – 8/6/2026. (Weather permitting)
  • Stage 3A will begin next Thursday. Stage 3A will construct the median of STH 19 from Schumacher Road through Division Street.

–       This operation will require the closure of the middle of the Division Street intersection. STH 19 will be open (east/west) through Division, but you will not be able to travel (north/south) through the Division Intersection.

–       The Division Street intersection construction will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to complete.

  • The changing temporary configurations of STH 19 will continue into the early fall season.
  • The temporary lanes have a maximum width of 11 feet, so wide loads cannot be accommodated.
  • The current westbound bi-directional traffic pattern will be shifted onto the new westbound pavement next Thursday (8/6/2026).

Construction Activities This Week:

  • The concrete crew will finish the placement of the new curb and gutter on both sides of Hogan Road today.

–       The concrete crew poured the north half of the median island from Schumacher Road to Division Street yesterday.

  • The grading crew finish graded aggregate at Hogan Road, and on STH 19 from Bruenig Boulevard moving east through the Schumacher Road intersection.
  • Electrical crews placed all the permanent traffic signal bases and pull boxes at the Schumacher / Raemisch intersection.

–     The electrical crew all bored the necessary future conduits under STH 19 at Hogan Road.

–       Stage 3A will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to complete the middle section of STH 19 at Hogan Road and from Schumacher to Division.

Construction Activities for the week of August 3rd:

  • Grading crews will fine grade the aggregate for pavement at Schumacher Road and Hogan Road Monday through Tuesday.
  • The asphalt crews will be back on Wednesday to pave the north half of STH 19 from Division, east to the Schumacher farm. Hogan Road will also be paved.
  • Traffic control crews and temporary paint crews will be on site Thursday to prepare for the stage 3A traffic switch.
