Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will complete two consecutive improvement projects along a ten mile stretch of WIS 13 between the cities of Washburn and Bayfield in Bayfield County. The initial project will include removing and replacing culverts, lining culverts and other miscellaneous culvert work. The following project will include resurfacing, as well as sign and beamgaurd replacement.

Both projects will be conducted under traffic with the use of flagging operations and single lane closures. WIS 13 will remain open to two-way traffic during night time and weekend hours.

Culvert construction began in April 2017 and is scheduled for completion on July 28, 2017.
Work for resurfacing, sign and beamgaurd replacement began on July 10 and is scheduled for completion in October 2017.
