Project Overview
The purpose of this project is to maintain connectivity along US 61/151 and WIS 11 by addressing the deterioration of this segment of pavement. US 61/151 segment consists of concrete pavement with deteriorating pavement joints and asphaltic shoulders. WIS 11 segment consists of concrete pavement with deteriorating pavement joints, concrete spalling and fatigue cracking asphaltic shoulders.
2025 (Stage 1 – 5)
- US 61 – Base patching and overlay on US 61 between the Mississippi River Bridge to Eagle Point Road, both NB and SB lanes. Asphalt shoulder milling, paving, barrier wall, and guardrail.
- WIS 11 – Concrete pavement replacement from the US 61 interchange to the WIS 11 four-lane to two-lane transition east of WIS 35/Badger Road. Work includes all lanes on WIS 11 and portions of the connecting ramps to WIS 11 from US 61.
- Safety Rest Area (RSA) 106 – Asphalt pavement milling and paving, curb ramp improvements, markings, and ditch restoration. Rest Area closed from 9/2/2025 to 10/21/2025.
- Dickeyville Safety and Weight Enforcement Facility (SWEF) – Concrete pavement replacement, scale approach repairs, patrol car parking lot replacement, and various site improvements. 60 calendar day maximum closure. Tentatively closed mid-September to mid-November.
2026 (Stage 6)
- US 61 – Concrete pavement repair and replacement, asphalt shoulder milling, paving and guardrail.
- WIS 11 Overpass Structure/US 61 – Bearing maintenance and bridge painting.
- Eagle Point Road – Milling, asphalt paving, shouldering and guardrail.
- Badger Road Interchange – Milling, asphalt paving, shouldering and guardrail.
