Traffic impacts

US 51 will remain open to traffic with shoulder closures

Weekly update

• Monday April 20 – Grading will continue at South end of the project
• Tuesday April 21 – Crew will continue with finish grading of temporary widening and preparing for overnight closure Tuesday
• Wednesday April 22 through Friday April 24 – Paving for temporary widening will occur, followed by painting and signing. The anticipated traffic switch is set to occur Friday sometime during the day

Stage 1 Notes:

Stage 1 overnight closure is expected to start Tuesday evening at 9PM and will continue through 6 AM Wednesday morning. The closure will be between Tower Rd and Mahoney Rd. Access to both these roads will be maintained for resident access only.

The switch to Stage 2 is expected to occur next Friday. This stage will shift traffic to the west side of the road, and the contractor will begin constructing the NB lanes of US 51.
