US 51 will remain open to traffic with shoulder closures

Project update

Crews have continued work on forming additional concrete areas and grading for curb and gutter. Restoration has also been mostly completed on the East side of the roadway. Below is this week’s update.

• Remainder of the week July 8^th – 10^th: Work will continue on placement of the curb and gutter today and tomorrow. Crews will also be onsite to hand pour in some areas of concrete pavement.
• Week of July 13^th – Next week crews will be in to fine grade for the concrete pavement in the roundabout areas. Concrete crews will be onsite later in the week to start placing the pavement in these areas and will continue into the following week.

Stage 2 Notes:

Stage 2 is on track to be wrapped up near late July, and Exchange St will remain closed during this stage. When we switch to Stage 3, Exchange St will open but will be Right In/Right Out only. Left turns off Exchange to continue SB on USH 51 will be restricted. Continue to plan to use alternate routes.
