US 51 will remain open to traffic with shoulder closures

Project update

Crews have continued to progress on the concrete work. We are anticipating that will be wrapped up this week. Below is this week’s update.

• Remainder of the week July 22nd – 24th: Crews will work to finish up placing concrete for stage 2 and the remaining curb & gutter. Crews may be on site Saturday to finish these items up. .
• Week of July 27th – Crews will be onsite to install electrical bases and conduit and begin grading for the temporary widening for both lanes of traffic in stage 3. Later in the week asphalt paving will occur.
• STAGE 3 PUBLIC MEETING
  • When: Wednesday July 29th. 4:30 – 6:00 PM.
  • Location: Town of Dunn Town Hall, 4156 County Road B, McFarland, WI
  • The meeting will follow an open house format for people to ask questions about the project, and we will have project maps available for viewing. There will be no formal presentation or handouts at the meeting.

Stage 2 Notes:

We are looking to wrap up Stage 2 later in the week of August 3rd. Information on the public meeting being held for this stage is noted above. When we switch to Stage 3, Exchange St will open but will be Right In/Right Out only. Left turns off Exchange to continue SB on USH 51 will be restricted. Continue to plan to use alternate routes.

The additional closure of USH 51 is no longer anticipated.
