Traffic impacts

Stage 1:

Location: install guardrail in median along northbound US 51.

Traffic:

• US 51 northbound median lane closed, US 51 SB median shoulder closure.
• This stage is currently scheduled to be completed in mid-March.

Stage 2a:

Location: US 51 southbound and southbound bridge over Taylor Road.

Traffic:

• US 51 on existing northbound.
• Taylor Road work will be closed.
• Sigglekow Road will remain open, but both northbound ramps and the southbound on-ramp at Sigglekow Road will be closed.
• The southbound off-ramp to eastbound Sigglekow Road will remain open through the entire stage.
• Stage 2a is currently scheduled to be completed in mid-April.

Stage 2b:

Location: US 51 southbound, southbound bridge over Taylor Road and Sigglekow Road.

Traffic:

• US 51 on existing northbound.
• Taylor Road will be open through traffic.
• Sigglekow Road, as well as both northbound ramps and the southbound on-ramp at Sigglekow Road will be closed.
• The southbound off-ramp to eastbound Sigglekow Road will remain open through the entire stage.
• Stage 2b is currently scheduled between mid-April to August 2025.

Stage 3:

Location: US 51 northbound.

Traffic:

• US 51 traffic on new southbound lanes.
• Siggelkow Road and Taylor Road open.
• Northbound Siggelkow Road interchange ramps will be closed.

Stage 4:

Location: US 51 median.

Traffic:

• US 51 northbound and southbound will be open with off-peak lane closures.
• Sigglekow Road and all ramps will be open.
