Schedule: March 30, 2026 to November 2026

Anticipated work scheduled: Crews will:

• Continue replacing the curb and gutter at the inlets and surface drain replacement locations for the WIS 54 westbound lanes and US 45 structure surface drains.
• Continue to excavate and shape base aggregate to construct the new WIS 54 westbound lanes and widening.
• Install street lighting conduit for the roundabout.
• Begin installing the curb and gutter for the roundabout.
• Continue to remove the existing US 45 asphalt from County D south to the County D roundabout.
• Continue to shape the grade ahead of the mainline paving operations. The existing shoulder asphalt will be removed, and the grade will be prepared to pave the middle and surface asphalt that include the new shoulders.
• Begin grading for the bypass lane shoulder widening along the US 45 northbound near the Church Road intersection.
• Continue paving the asphalt for US 45 from County D south working north.

Traffic impacts (the next 10 days): 

• WIS 54 is reduced to one lane in each direction from Jeanne Street to House Road. Both eastbound and westbound WIS 54 traffic is shifted to the south half of the roadway from North Shawano Drive to House Road.
• US 45 is closed to through traffic and is detoured for approximately four months through July 2026. Traffic is detoured via US 10 and WIS 22. Access to residents, businesses, and emergency vehicles will be maintained during construction.
  • Access to County D at the south limits will remain open to traffic at this time as the closure will be just north of that intersection of County D and US 45.
  • Access to Church Road at the north limits will remain open to traffic at this time as the closure will be just south of that intersection of Church Road and US 45
