US 18 and WIS 23 intersections will have lane closures

Weekly update

Current Construction Operations (Week of 6/8/2026):

• Electrical installation completed at both intersections
• Grading/base course for pavement, curb & gutter, and sidewalk at both intersections completed
• Electrical wire install for new traffic signals at both intersections completed
• No work anticipated over weekend (6/20/26 – 6/21/26)

Upcoming Construction Operations (Week of 6/22/2026):

• Concrete sidewalk, curb & gutter, and pavement at both intersections
• Tentative traffic switch from stage 3 (US 18/WIS 23) to stage 5, and from stage 6 (US18/Johns St) to stage 2 to take place on 6/26/26
• Asphaltic seal coating at WIS 23/County YZ intersection
• No work anticipated over weekend (6/27/26 – 6/28/26)

Current Traffic Information:

• There are various lane closures for stage 3 (US 18/WIS 23) & 6 (US 18/Johns St). These closures will be continuous and last until the completion of each stage which has a tentative completion date of 6/22/26.
• The closures will prevent truck traffic from turning on US 18 EB from WIS 23 and Johns St. As well as turning right on Johns St NB from US 18 WB.
• The posted detour route for trucks will be to follow WIS 23 SB and merge onto US 151 EB and continue onto US 18 EB. See attached image of detour route.
