Project update
Construction update for the RCUT intersection of US 18/151 at County F. Last week, Stage 1 work completed the new US 18/151 right turn lanes to County F. Currently work is in Stage 2A, and work is occurring in the median of US 18/151 to build the new RCUT turn arounds. Stage 2A has a short duration and will be wrapping up around July 20th.
Work to complete Stage 2A includes:
- Placement of base aggregate
- Culvert pipes in the median
- HMA pavement for the new left turn lanes and the turn arounds
- Landscaping, restoration
- Signing and pavement marking
It is anticipated to switch into Stage 2B work around July 20th, weather permitting. Stage 2B will be work in the intersection of US 18/151 and County F.
Traffic Impacts for Stage 2B (starting around July 20th):
County F will be open, but traffic on County F will no longer be able to turn left or go straight through US 18/151. Only right turns will be allowed. Traffic on County F wanting to turn left or cross US 18/151 will need to turn right and utilize the newly constructed RCUT turns in the median.
