Scheduled traffic impacts week of July 20 for highway maintenance

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region provides a weekly list of expected upcoming traffic impacts for maintenance work on state highways in Northeast Wisconsin and maintenance/inspections on the state’s lift bridges. Maintenance is provided by county highway department crews or WisDOT Bureau of Structures bridge experts. Maintenance operation schedules can change due to weather and maintenance crew manpower. Check back often for schedule and traffic impact updates throughout the week.

Northeast Wisconsin Lift Bridge 2026 Routine Maintenance and Inspections

Bridge engineers and maintenance crews will conduct routine maintenance and inspection of the following lift bridges in Northeast Wisconsin. Work typically includes inspection of the electrical, mechanical, and hydrological systems, along with structural inspections of the infrastructure. Crews will also conduct bridge washing during the annual bridge maintenance. Highway maintenance

Brown County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB I-43 at WIS 96 on Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday, July 22 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Various lanes will be closed during repairs.
• Deck sealing will take place on EB and WB WIS 29 at County J and WIS 32 on Monday, July 20 through Wednesday, July 22 from 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.  Various lanes will be closed during deck sealing.
• Deck sealing will take place on NB and SB WIS 57 at Wequiock Creek on Tuesday, July 21 through Thursday, July 23 from 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.  Various lanes will be closed during deck sealing.
• Deck sealing will take place on NB and SB WIS 57 at WIS 54 on Wednesday, July 22 and Thursday, July 23 from 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.  Various lanes will be closed during deck sealing.
• Deck sealing will take place on EB WIS 172 at the Fox River on Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24 from 9:30 p.m. to 6 a.m.  Various lanes will be closed during deck sealing.

Fond du Lac County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on SB US 151 between County D and Hickory Road on Monday, July 20 to 5 p.m., Friday, July 24. A continuous lane closure will be used during repairs.

Manitowoc County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB I-43 between WIS 310 and the south county line on Monday, July 20 to Thursday, July 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A moving lane closure will be used during repairs.

Sheboygan County

• Maintenance crews will be pavement marking on NB and SB I-43 between WIS 42 and WIS 23 on Monday, July 20 to Friday, July 24 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Various lane closures will be used during repairs.
• Maintenance crews will be mowing along NB and SB I-43 between the north county line and WIS 42 on Monday, July 20 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.  A moving lane closure will be used during repairs.
• Maintenance crews will be repairing guard rail on NB and SB I-43 between the north county line and County MM on Tuesday, July 21 and on NB I-43 between WIS 32 and Dewitt Road on Wednesday, July 22 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Various lane closures will be used during repairs.

Outagamie County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB I-41 between WIS 125 and the south county line on Thursday, July 16 from 7 p.m. to midnight. A moving lane closure will be used during repairs.

Winnebago County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing approaches on EB 10 at Fairview Road and US 10 at Irish Road on Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday, July 22 from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Various lane closures will be used during repairs.
• Maintenance crews will be repairing approaches on NB US 45 at Skelton Bridge Road on Thursday, July 23 from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Various lane closures will be used during repairs.
