Scheduled traffic impacts week of June 1 for highway maintenance

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region provides a weekly list of expected upcoming traffic impacts for maintenance work on state highways in Northeast Wisconsin and maintenance/inspections on the state’s lift bridges. Maintenance is provided by county highway department crews or WisDOT Bureau of Structures bridge experts. Maintenance operation schedules can change due to weather and maintenance crew manpower. Check back often for schedule and traffic impact updates throughout the week.

Northeast Wisconsin Lift Bridge 2026 Routine Maintenance and Inspections

Bridge engineers and maintenance crews will conduct routine maintenance and inspection of the following lift bridges in Northeast Wisconsin. Work typically includes inspection of the electrical, mechanical, and hydrological systems, along with structural inspections of the infrastructure. Crews will also conduct bridge washing during the annual bridge maintenance. Highway maintenance

Brown County

• Maintenance crews will be inspecting flyover bridges on NB I-43 between Atkinson Drive and I-41 on Monday, June 1 from 8 to 9 p.m. A rolling closure will be used during inspection.
• Maintenance crews will be inspecting flyover bridges on NB and SB I-43 between Lineville Road and Lombardi Avenue on Monday, June 1 from 10 to 11 p.m. A rolling closure will be used during inspection.

Calumet County

• Maintenance crews will be resetting pipes on EB and WB WIS 114 between WIS 55 and Kees Road on Monday, June 1 to Thursday, June 4 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. A flagging operation will be used during repairs.

Marinette County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on NB and SB US 41 between Flame Road and County Y, daily, Monday, June 1 to Thursday, June 4 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Various lane closures will be used during repairs.

Oconto County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on SB US 141 between the north county line and Sunny Brook Road beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, June 1 to 4 p.m., Friday, June 5. A continuous lane closure will be used during repairs.

Outagamie County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement between WIS 125 and the south county line on Thursday, June 4 from 9:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. A moving lane closure will be used during repairs.

Sheboygan County

• Maintenance crews will be bridge girder painting on NB and SB I-43 at County MM, daily, Monday, June 1 to Thursday, June 4. A continuous lane closure will be used during repairs.

Winnebago County

• Maintenance crews will be placing a polymer overlay on NB and SB WIS 441 between County AP and Telulah Avenue beginning at 8 p.m., Friday, May 29 to 5 a.m., Monday, June 1. Continuous right lane closures will be used during repairs.
