Highway Maintenance Traffic Impacts in Northeast Wisconsin

Scheduled traffic impacts week of November 5

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region provides a weekly list of expected upcoming traffic impacts for maintenance work on state highways in Northeast Wisconsin and maintenance/inspections on the state’s lift bridges. Maintenance is provided by county highway department crews or WisDOT Bureau of Structures bridge experts. Maintenance operation schedules can change due to weather and maintenance crew manpower. Check back often for schedule and traffic impact updates throughout the week.

Northeast Wisconsin Lift Bridge 2026 Routine Maintenance and Inspections

Bridge engineers and maintenance crews will conduct routine maintenance and inspection of the following lift bridges in Northeast Wisconsin. Work typically includes inspection of the electrical, mechanical, and hydrological systems, along with structural inspections of the infrastructure. Crews will also conduct bridge washing during the annual bridge maintenance. Donald A. Tilleman Memorial Bridge (Green Bay) lift bridge closure

The City of Green Bay’s Department of Public Works is conducting routine maintenance operations on the Donald A. Tilleman Memorial Bridge (Mason Street over the Fox River) on Wednesday, November 11 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. All closures, detours, and work operations are weather dependent and subject to change.

  • The Tilleman Memorial Bridge will be CLOSED TO ALL VEHICLE TRAFFIC from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Marine navigation will not be affected. Detour: Traffic will be directed to use South Ashland Avenue, Walnut Street, and South Monroe Avenue. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained.  Motorists should anticipate back-ups, use caution while driving through the work zone.

Door C0unty lift bridge closures

  • Maple/Oregon Bridge closure: Monday, Nov. 10: Maple/Oregon Bridge FULL CLOSURE 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to all vehicles and marine navigation. Maintenance includes installing the new center lock actuator. A center lock actuator (also called a span lock actuator or lock bar operator) is the powered drive mechanism that extends and retracts a lock bar (or bars) to secure the movable lift span when it is fully lowered/closed

Brown County

  • Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB I-43 between Military Road and WIS 54/57 from Monday, November 2 to Monday, November 9. A continuous single lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on SB I-41 between Brown Road and Norfield Road on Monday, November 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be paving on NB WIS 54/57 between County A and Bay Settlement Road on Tuesday, November 10 and Wednesday, November 11 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on SB WIS 54/57 on Tuesday, November 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.

Calumet County

  • Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on EB and WB WIS 114 between WIS 55 to WIS 57 on Monday, October 26 to November 5 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. A flagging operation will be used during repairs.

Manitowoc County

  • Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB I-43 between US 10 and the south county line on Monday, November 2 to Wednesday, November 4 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. A moving closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be sealing the bridge deck on NB I-43 at Custer Street beginning at 6 a.m. to Monday, November 2 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, November 4. A continuous lane closure will be used during repairs.

Marinette County

  • Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB US 141 between WIS 64 and the south county line on Monday, November 2 through Thursday, November 5 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Various lane closures will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will pavement on NB and SB US 41 between the south county line and County Y on Monday, November 9 to Thursday, November 12 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Various lane closures will be used during repairs.

Oconto County

  • Crews will conduct slope repairs at the US 41 and County D interchange in Abrams, Oconto County, beginning Monday, October 26, 2026 through November 13, 2026. The slope in the southeast quadrant of the interchange became dislodged during flooding this spring, causing fill and earthwork to fall to the bottom of the slope. Motorists will encounter flagging operations on County D. There is no impact to I-41 travel.

Sheboygan County

  • Maintenance crews will be pavement marking on NB and SB I-43 between WIS 42 and WIS 28 on Monday, November 9 to Thursday, November 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Various lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be pavement marking on NB and SB I-43 between WIS 28 and Wilson-Lima Road on Monday, November 9 to 3 p.m., Thursday, November 12. A continuous lane closure will be used during repairs.

Winnebago County

  • Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on NB I-41 at County Z on Monday, November 2 to Thursday, November 5  from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on EB US 10 to NB I-41 on Wednesday, November 4 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The ramp will be closed during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on EB US 10 at Townline Road on Monday, November 2 to Thursday, November 5 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on NB US 45 at US 10 on Monday, November 2 to Thursday, November 5 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB I-41 between County BB and WIS 21 on Monday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 10 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. A moving lane closure will be used during repairs.
  • Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on EB and WB US 10 between County CB and Oneida Street on Wednesday, November 11f rom 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. A moving lane closure will be used during repairs.
