Scheduled traffic impacts week of March 9 for highway maintenance

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region provides a weekly list of expected upcoming traffic impacts for maintenance work on state highways in Northeast Wisconsin and maintenance/inspections on the state’s lift bridges. Maintenance is provided by county highway department crews or WisDOT Bureau of Structures bridge experts. Maintenance operation schedules can change due to weather and maintenance crew manpower. Check back often for schedule and traffic impact updates throughout the week.

Northeast Wisconsin Lift Bridge Maintenance

Bridge engineers and maintenance crews will conduct routine maintenance and inspection of the following lift bridges in Northeast Wisconsin. Work typically includes inspection of the electrical, mechanical, and hydrological systems, along with structural inspections of the infrastructure. Crews will also conduct bridge washing during the annual bridge maintenance. • April 13, 2026: Bart Starr (WIS 29/Walnut Street) bridge FULL CLOSURE from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. for inspection and routine maintenance.
• April 14, 2026: Don Tilleman (WIS 54/Mason Street) bridge FULL CLOSURE from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. for inspection, routine maintenance, and concrete patching.
• April 15, 2026: Don Tilleman (WIS 54/Mason Street) bridge outside lane closures 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow the reach-all truck to extend underneath the bridge from the bridge deck to wash the bridge.

Highway maintenance

Brown County

• Maintenance crews will have tree removal on SB WIS 54/57 between Settlement Road and County A on Tuesday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.

Calumet and Outagamie County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on SB WIS 441 between County KK and Lake Park Road, daily, Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.
• Maintenance crews will be repairing beam guard on SB WIS 441 south of County OO, nightly, Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Door County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB WIS 57 between Loritz Road and Orchard Drive, daily, Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A flagging operation will be used during repairs.
• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB WIS 42 between Gilbralter Road and Fieldcrest Road, daily, Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A flagging operation will be used during repairs.

Marinette County

• Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on NB and SB US 141 between the SB US 141 divide and County K, daily, Monday, March 9 to Friday, March 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A flagging operation will be used during repairs.

Oconto County

• Maintenance crews will have tree removal on NB US 41/US 141 at Allen Road, daily, Monday, March 9 through Friday, March 13 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A lane closure will be used during repairs.
• Maintenance crews will be joint sealing on NB and SB WIS 32 between Bobcat Road and the Oconto/Forest County line, daily, Monday, March 9 through Wednesday, March 11 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. A flagging operation will be used during repairs.
