Traffic impacts

I-39 will remain open to traffic with continuous single lane closures Monday through Thursday

I-39 will have double nighttime lane closures

County V interchange ramp closures will take place intermittently throughout the project, motorists are encouraged to utilize WIS 19 and WIS 60 during these closures

Weekly update

Current Construction Operations (Week of 5/26/2026):

• Nightly lane closures will occur on I 39 NB and SB between CTH V and the Dane County Line from Tuesday night to Saturday morning. Work includes saw cutting & concrete pavement patching.
  • Southbound I39 off ramp to CTH V to be closed starting 9PM Thursday night to 5:30AM Friday morning.
  • On ramp from CTH V to Southbound I39 to close starting 10PM Friday night to 7AM Saturday morning.

Upcoming Construction Operations (Week of 5/31/2026):

• Nightly lane closures will occur on I 39 NB and SB between CTH V and the Dane County Line from Sunday night to Saturday morning.
  • Ramps on I-39 to/from CTH V may be closed during this overnight period to facilitate this work. A max of 1 ramp may be closed at any given time. Detours will be provided with advance warning of ramp closures to guide motorists.
