Traffic impacts

I-39 will remain open to traffic with continuous single lane closures Monday through Thursday

I-39 will have double nighttime lane closures

County V interchange ramp closures will take place intermittently throughout the project, motorists are encouraged to utilize WIS 19 and WIS 60 during these closures

Weekly update

Current Construction Operations (Week of 6/14/2026):

• Nightly lane closures will occur on I 39 NB and SB between CTH V and the Dane County Line from Sunday night to Saturday morning. Work includes saw cutting, concrete pavement patching, & asphalt paving.
  • Southbound I39 off ramp to CTH V to be closed nightly starting at 8PM and reopening by 7AM.
  • On ramp from CTH V to Southbound I39 to be closed nightly starting at 8PM and reopening by 7AM.

Upcoming Construction Operations (Week of 6/21/2026):

• Nightly lane closures will occur on I 39 NB and SB between CTH V and the Dane County Line from Sunday night to Saturday morning.
  • Ramps on I-39 to/from CTH V may be closed during this overnight period to facilitate this work. Detours will be provided with advance warning of ramp closures to guide motorists.
