This WisDOT project will stabilize the slope along the east side of WIS 57 in Ozaukee County, approximately 0.2 miles south of County K.

Improvements:

• Install vertical rigid elements (miniature pilings driven into the embankment to strengthen the slope)
• Culvert replacement
• Concrete pavement replacement
• Grading and storm sewer work
• Restoration and new pavement markings
• New pavement markings

Traffic Impacts: 

This project will be completed in two stages:

• Stage 1: Northbound WIS 57 will be closed for culvert replacement
  • This closure is anticipated to last approximately one week. Northbound WIS 57 detours will be posted during closure. The detour will utilize County D, County B, and County RR.
• Stage 2: WIS 57 will remain open to traffic in both directions with various lane and shoulder closures

Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained at all times.

Schedule:

Construction is scheduled to begin in late July and be completed by fall 2026.
