August 23, 2024 Update:

This week was week 21 of construction. Last week work included milling the remaining asphalt within the project limits and performed final stage 1 grading in preparation of paving.  This week the contractor mobilized and proceeded to pave 2″ of asphalt on westbound and eastbound WIS 20, including lanes, shoulders, mow strips, and Willow Road ramps.

Traffic:

• Traffic control is in and in working order

Last Week:

• Contractor finished milling remaining asphalt after the westbound railroad bridge structure approach slab and pavement work was completed
• Final slope grading in preparation of paving asphalt

This Week:

• Paving wedges and patches in preparation for 2″ surface paving
• Paving 2″ surface of lane 2 (stage 1) on eastbound/westbound WIS 20 and Willow Road ramps
• Paving mow strips on shoulders
• Asphaltic flume install

Future Work (2 weeks+)

• Cut out for beam guard posts
• final landscaping, signs, culvert markers stage 1
• Beam guard install
• Pavement marking layout for stage 2
• Traffic switch to stage 2
