This project will make improvements to multiple bridges over WIS 145 (Fond Du Lac Freeway) in Milwaukee County. This includes the 76th Street bridge, Silver Spring Drive bridge, and two pedestrian bridges at 84th Street and Sheridan Avenue.

Project improvements:

• Re-decking of 76th Street bridge and Silver Spring Drive bridge
• Maintenance on pedestrian bridges
• Structure painting
• Concrete pavement approach slab

Traffic Impacts:

• At least one lane of travel will be maintained in each direction along bridges during construction
• Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on WIS 145 (Fond Du Lac Freeway) during construction
• Traffic will use recently constructed crossovers while bridge re-decking work is underway on Silver Spring Drive and 76th Street
• Access to local businesses and residences in the project limits will be maintained
• Long term on-ramp and off-ramp closures are expected at the 76th Street and Silver Spring interchanges with WIS 145.
• Short term closures of pedestrian bridges

Work began in late February 2024. This project is scheduled for completion in late summer 2024. Work is weather dependent and subject to change.
