Schedule and Traffic Impacts

Anticipated work scheduled: Crews will:
- Continue milling the existing asphalt pavement at the exit and entrance ramps on WIS 29. They will also mill off the existing asphalt pavement surface layer on County O and 72nd Avenue.
- Finish paving the asphalt pavement on the wider median shoulder areas near the bridges, guardrail and median barrier wall. They will also follow the milling operations and pave asphalt on the ramps, County O and 72nd Avenue.
- Shape the median shoulders, as needed, and placing shoulder gravel in the westbound direction of WIS 29 west of the median barrier wall.
- Install the guardrail along the median shoulder in the westbound direction of WIS 29.
- Begin application of the high friction surface treatment on the right lane in the eastbound direction.
Traffic impacts (the next 10 days):
- The lane closure will switch to close the right lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions on WIS 29 from Purple Martin Lane to the Little Rib River. This will allow work at the ramp tie ins on WIS 29 to happen and the application of the high friction surface treatment to begin.
- Daily ramp closures will take place to allow milling and paving operations on the exit and entrance ramps to WIS 29 at WIS 107, County O and 72nd Avenue. Portable message signs will be in place to update dates and times when closures will occur.
- Motorists can expect lane closures with flagging operations during the milling and paving operations on County O and 72nd Avenue.
