WisDOT plans to resurface the nearly 11-mile section of WIS 26 between WIS 33 and just south of Milligan Road to improve the pavement surface.

Improvements include:

• Mill and overlay the existing asphalt pavement
• Increase the paved shoulder width from three feet to five feet with the use of Highway Safety Improvement Funding
• Replace existing guardrail near the Mill Creek and Plum Creek crossings
• Replace deteriorated roadway cross culverts
• Install centerline and shoulder rumble strips
• Railroad crossing improvements
