Traffic Impacts for the next 10 days:
WIS 21 is closed from Coloma to Wautoma, all through traffic should follow the posted detour (see map insert). Traffic is detoured via WIS 21 to I-39 to WIS 73 to WIS 21. WIS 21 is detoured through September 2023.
Access to residents, businesses, and emergency vehicles will be maintained during construction. Various road out scenarios will require local traffic to use alternate routes.
A road out full closure is currently in place on a section of WIS 21 just west of the County B through mid-July. Northbound and southbound County B will remain open through the intersection.
A road out full closure will be installed as early as June 5 on a section of WIS 21 just east of Cottonville Court through July to install the box culvert at Lunch Creek.
Additional closures within the project limits at times will require WIS 21 residents, businesses, and emergency traffic to use local roadways to get around the construction work on WIS 21. Examples and locations where these internal project closures will occur:
- To construct the box culvert at Lunch Creek, from early June to July. These two box culverts will be constructed one at a time to ensure resident access is always maintained between them.
- WIS 21 at County B will be closed to local traffic for 10 days in June for reconstructing the intersection.
- To construct the box culvert at the west branch of the Little Pine Creek from July to early August.
- Work to install culverts under WIS 21 and sideroads will be conducted during daytime operations and restored to local traffic prior to the end of each workday.
- Adjacent local side roads will not be closed at the same time.
