The project is located on WIS 16 in Columbia County. The project is 0.41 miles in length, and includes a 0.24 mile section of WIS 60.

The project will reconstruct WIS 16 with a signalized intersection at WIS 60. A wider median will be constructed to accommodate left turn lanes. The entrance to the Columbus Travel Center West will be modified to provide better access for traffic going in and out. The entrance to the Columbus Commerce Center on WIS 60 will be modified with additional turn lanes to improve access. The addition of signals, turn lanes, and changes in access points is expected to decrease the number of crashes and the congestion at the intersection. The project will also include sidewalks, lighting, storm sewer and signing.
