WisDOT plans to improve roadway safety by installation of a right turn lane at the east intersection of Hamlet Avenue and WIS 16 and reconfiguring the inside west-bound lane of WIS 16 into a two-way left turn lane from east intersection with Hamlet Avenue to ¼ mile east of Alpine Road.

Proposed improvements include:

• Installation of a dedicated right turn lane for west bound traffic on WIS 16 to turn northbound onto Hamlet Avenue
• Seal coat of the entirety of WIS from the east intersection with Hamlet Avenue to ¼ mile east of Alpine Road
• New pavement markings, including a two-way left turn lane on WIS 16
