Project Overview
WisDOT will begin construction work for planned improvements on WIS 145 in Milwaukee County. Improvements include:
- Four-miles of pavement resurfacing along WIS 145 between 68th Street and Good Hope Road
- The facility will be restriped as a four-lane roadway
- The improvement will make use of the existing two inside travel lanes in each direction
- The outside lane will be converted to a wider shoulder and ramp acceleration and deceleration lanes will be lengthened to allow additional space to merge with mainline traffic
- Improvements also include upgrades to the drainage facilities, shoulders, barriers, and guard rail along WIS 145.
- Shoulder resurfacing and guardrail replacement on WIS 145 between Good Hope Road and West Crossover Pass.
- Bridge deck replacement and painting of the Grantosa Drive bridge over WIS 145.
- Spot repairs and painting to the WIS 145 bridges over the Union Pacific RR and Flagg Avenue
- Thin Polymer overlays will be placed on eight bridges:
- WIS 145 NB and SB over N 91st Street
- WIS 145 NB and SB over W. Mill Road
- WIS 145 NB and SB over the Little Menomonee Parkway
- WIS 175 (Appleton Avenue) over Silver Spring Drive
- WIS 181 (N. 76th Street) over Silver Spring Drive
- Eight new Sign Structures will be installed along the WIS 145 corridor.
- 107th Street Bridge Replacement over WIS 145 (summer 2022)
- Culvert concrete surface repair, fencing and storm sewer repair at two culverts under I-41.
