• 20 of the 30 vertical curves do not meet current standards
• The passing lanes are not long enough
• Patterns of run-off-the-road and animal crashes have been identified
• The Rocky Run Creek culverts negatively impact the native trout population

• Reconstructing US 51 to improve vertical and horizontal alignment
• Replacing culverts
• Lengthening the existing passing lanes
• Reconstructing intersections to meet current standards
• Constructing a new bridge over Rocky Run Creek
