Monthly update – week of 11/17/25

Current Construction Operations:

• Installation of signal poles and arms occurred last week
• Crews completed grading and stone placement
• Concrete pavement was paved on southbound lanes
• Crews working on curb and gutter pours

Upcoming Construction Operations:

• Continue pouring curb and gutter
• Crew will also work on finishing the concrete pavement pours
• Sidewalk placement will continue into next week
• Crews anticipate having all concrete work completed by end of next week

Traffic Updates:

• Traffic is currently in Stage 2 traffic pattern through the intersection. 
  • Please drive with caution through work zone with construction activities continuing.
  • Stage 2 traffic pattern 

Local Business Access:

• As a general note, all businesses near the intersection, or in the area surrounding the intersection are still open and greatly appreciate your business. Especially during construction when the route to the businesses has changed.
• Be sure to contact the businesses ahead of time to find the best route there.

Construction tentatively begins: March 24, 2025

Anticipated completion: October 17, 2025

Traffic impacts

Us 51 intersection will be constructed in stages.

• Stage 1: March 24 – July 3
  • Full closure of the US 51 intersection. Detour utilizes US 14, I-39 and WIS 11.
• Stage 2: July 4 – August 15
  • US 51 open to one lane of traffic in both directions.
