This WisDOT project will replace approximately 1.2 miles of pavement along Silvernail Frontage Road (I-94 frontage), between Maple Avenue and Elmhurst Road, in Waukesha County.

Additional Project Improvements Include:

• Replace old pavement with new pavement structure (subgrade, base, asphalt)
• Shoulder improvements
• Cross culvert and driveway culvert replacement
• Upgrades to signing and marking throughout the project limits

Traffic Impacts:

Silvernail Frontage Road will be closed to through traffic during construction. Local access to businesses and residences will be maintained. A detour will be utilized during construction.

Detour: Golf Road (frontage road on north side of I-94) via Maple Avenue and Elmhurst Road.

There will be no impact to traffic on I-94.

Schedule:

This project is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and be completed by late summer 2026. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
