I-94 is open to traffic, but motorists will encounter:

• Single-lane closures in both directions during off-peak travel times with a reduced speed limit of 60 mph
• Ramps on the US 53/I-94 interchange on the south side of Eau Claire will be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday, Oct. 26-29 to upgrade pavement markings. Here is the proposed work schedule:
  • Monday, Oct. 26:
    • The westbound I-94 ramp to US 53 at exit 70 will be closed. A portable message board will direct traffic to use the next exit at WIS 93 (exit 68).
    • The ramp from southbound US 53 to westbound I-94 will be closed. A portable message board will direct traffic to use the roundabout south of the interchange to northbound US 53 for access to westbound I-94.
  • Tuesday, Oct. 27:
    • The eastbound I-94 ramp to US 53 will be closed. A portable message board will direct traffic to exit 68 at WIS 93.
    • The northbound US 53 ramp to eastbound I-94 entrance diamond ramp will be closed. A portable message board will direct traffic to exit at Golf Road (exit 85), where motorists can use southbound US 53 for access onto eastbound 94 (exit 84 A)
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28:
    • The north collector road and north loop ramps will be closed. Portable message boards will direct traffic.
      • The westbound I-94 ramp to southbound US 53 will be closed. Traffic to exit to NB USH 53 and use Golf Road (exit 85) to access southbound US 53
      • Northbound US 53 will use Golf Road (exit 85) to southbound US 53 for access to westbound I-94.
    • Thursday, Oct. 29:
      • The south collector road and south loop ramps will be closed. Portable message boards will direct traffic on:
        • Eastbound I-94 ramp to exit to southbound US 53 and use the roundabout to access northbound US 53
        • Southbound US 53 to use the roundabout to northbound US 53 for access to eastbound I-94
