This project will make improvement to approximately seven (7) miles of I-94 between WIS 83 and WIS 16 in Waukesha County. Improvements will also be made to the the Meadowbrook and Nagawaukee park and rides as part of this project.

Improvements Include: 

• Resurfacing of I-94 within project limits.
• Deck sealing/preservation on four (4) bridges
  • Maple Avenue, County SS, County T, and County JJ bridges
• Resurfacing Meadowbrook and Nagawaukee park and rides.
• Resurfacing on WIS 318, from Rolling Ridge Drive to I-94.
• Base patching
• Culvert repair
• Retaining wall replacement
• Signal improvements at County SS, County T, and WIS 318/Silvernail Road intersections

Traffic Impacts:

Work on I-94 will happen during overnight, non-peak travel hours.

• The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph while overnight work is taking place
• Overnight full freeway closures, single lane closures, local road closures, ramp closures
• Partial closures of Meadowbrook and Nagawaukee park and rides.
  • Limited access will be maintained during park and ride construction
  • Nagawaukee park and ride construction: summer 2024
  • Meadowbrook park and ride construction: late fall 2024

Schedule: 

This project is scheduled to begin in late May 2024 and be completed by mid-2025.
