The west side of I-41/I-894 between Cold Spring Road and Howard Avenue in the City of Greenfield, Milwaukee County.

2024 Project Improvements

Crews will be reconstructing the noise wall on the I-894 bridge over Cold Spring Road.

Schedule

2024 construction is anticipated to begin in late May and be complete by mid-summer 2024. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Traffic Impacts

• I-894 southbound traffic from Howard Avenue to 92nd Street will be shifted to the inside shoulder.
• ​Four (4) lanes will remain open on I-894 during peak travel hours. Overnight closures are anticipated.
• Cold Spring Road under I-894 is scheduled to close for about two (2) months while crews reconstruct the noise wall on the bridge.
  • Motorists are encouraged to use WIS 1oo (108th Street), Layton Avenue, and 92nd Street to get around the closure.
