This project will make various improvements along approximately three (3) miles of WIS 83, between Golf Road and Vettelson Road, in Waukesha County.

Improvements Include

• Mill and overlay WIS 83 from Golf Road to Nagawicka Road.
• Replace the pavement on WIs 83 between Nagawicka Road and Vettelson Road.
• Replace traffic signals and lighting at Oakwood Road/W. North Shore Drive, and Cardinal Lane.
• Modify signals at Golf Road.
• Extend turn lanes at Cardinal Lane.
• Repair and replace culverts in various locations.

Traffic Impacts

WIS 83, within the project limits, will be closed to through traffic during construction.

Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained.

The posted detour will utilize I-94, WIS 67, and WIS 16.

Local truck traffic accessing Lake County Industrial Park and Geason Commerce Center will need to use County KE/North Shore Drive via WIS 16.

Schedule

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2025 (April/May), depending on the weather, and be completed in late fall 2025. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
