This WisDOT project will make various improvements to approximately 3.1 miles of WIS 83 (Wales Road), between Perkins Road and Glacier Pass in the village of Wales, Waukesha County.

Improvements

• Resurface WIS 83 within project limits (Perkins Road to Glacier Pass).
• Curb ramp and sidewalk improvements within corridor
• Polymer overlay on bridge deck over Glacier Drumlin State Trail

Traffic Impacts:

Traffic will be maintained along WIS 83 during construction. Motorists can expect:

• Long-term single lane closures
• Flagging operations during certain stages of construction
• Minimal overnight full closures at roundabouts

Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained during construction.

Schedule

This project is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and be completed by summer. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
