Overview:

The project will improve approximately 2.5 miles of WIS 31 (Green Bay Road) between WIS 50 (75th Street) and County S (38th Street) in Kenosha County.

Improvements Include:

• Diamond grind the existing concrete pavement and repair the concrete pavement to improve motorist ride.
• Replace existing traffic signals on WIS 31 at 67^th Street, 60^th Street (County K), 52^nd Street (WIS 158), and 38^th Street (County S).
• Improvement of pedestrian crossings within the corridor.
• Concrete pavement and curb and gutter replacement patching along the project limits.

Traffic Impacts/Detours:

There will be various lane closures on WIS 31 to complete this work, including overnight full closures between signalized intersections. Access to businesses and residents will be maintained during construction.

A detour will be posted utilizing WIS 50, to County H, to County S during the nighttime roadway full closures.

Timeline:

Construction is anticipated to be complete in fall 2023.
