This WisDOT project will make various roadway improvements along WIS 241 (27th Street), between Bottsford Avenue and Howard Avenue, in Milwaukee County.

Improvements:

• Resurface WIS 241 (27th Street) within project limits
  • Mill 4 inches of existing pavement and replace with 4 inches of new asphalt
• Box culvert improvements south of Bottsford Avenue
• Replace curb ramps within project limits to meet ADA standards
• Upgraded lighting and signals
• New signing and pavement marking

Traffic Impacts:

Traffic will be maintained in both directions during construction.

• Motorists can expect long-term single and double lane closures in each direction within the project limits.
• Short-term single lane southbound closures, south of Bottsford Avenue, are anticipated for box culvert work.

Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained.

Schedule:

Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-April and be competed by mid-summer.
