WIS 241 Resurfacing (Layton Avenue to College Avenue)

Project Details

The WIS 241 project will improve approximately 2 miles of roadway including:

  • Resurfacing pavement by milling the existing asphalt and overlaying with new asphalt.
  • Replacement of traffic signal equipment at various locations.
  • Concrete pavement repairs at the Layton Avenue intersection.
  • Replacements of curb ramps to meet ADA standards.

 

Traffic Impacts and Detours

  • WIS 241 will remain open to two lanes in each direction during peak hours. WIS 241 will be reduced to a single lane in each direction during off peak hours.
  • WIS 241 will be reduced to a single lane for 20 consecutive calendar days in mid-summer, including peak hours.
  • Nighttime full closures are permitted for center lane base patching and paving operations. A detour will be posted utilizing College Avenue, I-94/41, and Layton Avenue,
  • Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained.
