This project will make improvements to the eastbound US 18/WIS 59 (Waukesha Bypass) bridge over the Fox River in Waukesha County.

Project Details:

• The eastbound US 18/WIS 59 bridge will be re-decked.
• Installation of two new concrete girders.
• Wingwall abutment repairs on north side of bridge.
• New pavement approaches on both sides of bridge.

Note: The westbound US 18/WIS 59 bridge will not be impacted by this project.

Traffic Impacts:

Traffic will be maintained in both directions of US 18/WIS 59 over the Fox River. Access to local residents and businesses will also be maintained.

Single lane closures for bridge re-decking work:

• Stage 1: Lane one (inside lane) will be closed for approximately 65 days starting in early July.
  • Left turn access onto Fox River Parkway from eastbound US 18/WIS 59 will be closed during stage one.
  • Left turns from southbound Fox River Parkway to US 18/WIS 59 will be restricted during stage one.
• Stage 2: Lane two (outside lane) will be closed for approximately 65 days after lane one is completed.

Schedule:

Work is tentatively scheduled to begin in early July 2024 and be complete by late 2024.
