Lincoln/Price County line to the Wisconsin River Bridge (Lake Mohawksin)

Traffic Impacts & Schedule

WIS 86 Resurface:

  • Traffic Impacts
    • WIS 86 between County O and County E will be closed from approximately July 16, 2019 to July 27, 2019 to complete installation of beam guard and culvert pipes at the Spirit River Flowage causeway.  A signed detour will be available during this time, utilizing WIS 13, US 8, and US 51.
    • For the remainder of the project, WIS 86 will remain open to a minimum of one lane of traffic
    • Temporary traffic signals will be used during work on the bridges over the West Spirit River and Squaw Creek
    • All other work will be performed under lane closures with flagging operations
      • Width Restrictions: Temporary traffic signals will be used during work on the bridges over the West Spirit River and Squaw Creek, reducing traffic to one lane (11-foot maximum width).
  • Schedule
    • Full closure of WIS 86 between County O and County E from approximately July 16, 2019 to July 27, 2019
    • The remainder of culvert and beam guard work is anticipated to occur from late July to mid-August 2019
    • Concrete bridge deck overlays are anticipated to occur from early August to mid-September 2019
    • Asphalt resurfacing and shouldering is anticipated to occur from mid-September to late October 2019
    • Polymer bridge deck overlays are anticipated to occur in May 2020
    • No work is anticipated from November 2019 to April 2019

    • WIS 86 will remain open to a minimum of one lane of traffic at all times
    • Temporary traffic signals will be used during work on the bridge, reducing traffic to one lane
      • Width Restrictions: Temporary traffic signals will be used during work on the bridge, reducing traffic to one lane (12-foot maximum width)
  • Schedule
    • Bridge and approach work is anticipated to occur from mid-July to early November 2019
    • Polymer bridge deck overlay work is anticipated to occur in May 2020
    • No work is anticipated from mid-November 2019 to April 2019
