The project work is along a 17.6-mile stretch of WIS 57 from the Mid Junction with WIS 42 near Sturgeon Bay to Baileys Harbor in the towns of Sevastopol, Baileys Harbor and Jacksonport in Door County. <a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsindot.gov\/Documents\/projects\/by-region\/ne\/57BaileysHarbor\/AugLocationmap.pdf\">View location of structures in a map<\/a> (PDF)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Scope <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The proposed improvements include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u200b\u200b\u200bBridge\/culvert replacements located at Lily Bay Creek, Geisel Creek, Logan Creek and Hibbard Creek<\/li>\n<li>Replacement of asphalt pavement adjacent to and over new structures<\/li>\n<li>Beam guard removals, replacements and\/or new installations at Lily Bay Creek, Geisel Creek, Logan Creek and Hibbard Creek<\/li>\n<li>Pavement marking on new asphalt pavement at each bridge\/culvert replacement location<\/li>\n<li>Driveway culvert replacements at Geisel Creek and Logan Creek<\/li>\n<li>Driveway relocation near Logan Creek crossing<\/li>\n<li>Storm sewer installation near Logan Creek crossing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<article id=\"post-12\" class=\"post-12 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-uncategorized\">\n<div class=\"main-content\">\n<div class=\"entry-content row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-left col-sm-8\">\n<div class=\"content-wrap\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<article id=\"post-12\" class=\"post-12 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-uncategorized\">\n<div class=\"main-content\">\n<div class=\"entry-content row-fluid\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-left col-sm-8\">\n<div class=\"content-wrap\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<p><strong>Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Construction is expected to occur at each of the crossings as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lily Bay Creek and Geisel Creek: September 3, 2024 &#8211; November 27, 2024 (COMPLETE)<\/li>\n<li>Logan Creek: May 5, 2025 &#8211; July 2025 (COMPLETE)<\/li>\n<li>Hibbard Creek: September 2, 2025 &#8211; November 14, 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<p><strong>Traffic Impacts: <\/strong>During construction, WIS 57 will be closed to traffic at each crossing. Below is a list of detours for each crossing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lily Bay Creek and Geisel Creek &#8211; WIS 57 to WIS 42 to County Road I to WIS 57(complete)<\/li>\n<li>Logan Creek Detour: WIS 57 to County Road T to County Road V to WIS 57(complete)<\/li>\n<li>Hibbard Creek Detour: WIS 57 to County Road V to County Road A to County Road E to WIS 57\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsindot.gov\/Documents\/projects\/by-region\/ne\/57BaileysHarbor\/AugHibdetour.pdf\">Detour Map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Access will be maintained to businesses and residents along the project corridor \u200bthroughout construction.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/wis42shore\/bizpic-300x255\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-36 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/wis42shore\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/841\/bizpic-300x255-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"176\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Temporary Business Signing and Business Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Temporary business signing may be placed during the detoured portion of the project by filling out a WisDOT business signing permit. All temporary business signing needs approval via the permit before placement to ensure it is in a safe location and does not pose a visual distraction or traffic hazard.<\/p>\n<p>The temporary business signing permit is free. Costs associated with creating the temporary sign are the responsibility of the business.
