Update:
Construction Work occurring and anticipated over the next few weeks:
- Work in Plain
- The surface lift of asphalt has started on STH 23, and anticipated on side roads over the next week or two. There will be traffic disruptions at all intersections, and traffic will not be allowed on the surface until it has been rolled and set.
- Overhead signs at CTH B are anticipated in mid-October
- Pavement marking anticipated mid-late October
- Other work in the corridor from USH 14 to County GG:
- Paving work is continuing with the surface lift of asphalt for STH 23 and side roads.
- Final shoulder construction will begin the week of October 7th.
- Rumble strips, pavement marking, guard rail as well as finishing items will continue until the end of October.
- High friction surface treatment will be applied in certain areas in mid-late October.
- Paving equipment, as well as dump trucks, have a noticeable presence on the corridor. Expect flagging at each operation and associated delays of 15 minutes at each operation.
NOTES:
- Speed Limit on WIS 23 has been reduced to 45mph. This is an effort to slow traffic down and keep everyone safe.

Anticipated completion: November 2024
Traffic impacts
WIS 23 will be closed and detoured for the duration of construction utilizing US 14, WIS 130, and WIS 154.
