WIS 120 – from the Illinois State Line to Willow Road, Walworth County
PURPOSE AND NEED
The intent of the project is to update roadway conditions by resurfacing WIS 120 and to rehabilitate the bridge deck over Nippersink Creek. In addition, spot safety improvements will be made such as updating existing beam guards and installing concrete barrier under the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad bridge.
April – August (weather dependent)
Stage 1 / Stage 2: WIS 120 will have one lane open to traffic for approximately 500-feet under the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad bridge. The open lane will have a temporary signal to allow for controlled two-way traffic.
[NEW] Stage 3: Beginning the week of June 12, rolling single lane closures along WIS 120 during paving operations will allow for two-way traffic on a single open lane controlled via flaggers.
With the exception of night work for operations on the bridge deck over Nippersink Creek, WIS 120 will be open to traffic at all times. During the bridge work, through traffic along WIS 120 will be closed at Willow Road and at County B during the hours of 8:00pm to 5:00am.
