The project will use cold-in-place recycling prior to the new pavement surface being placed, minor curb and gutter repair, 15 pipe culvert replacements, and new roadway pavement markings and signs. This project has been advance to 2017 due to WisDOT let savings. The asphaltic pavement along this section of WIS 29 is showing signs of distress including rutting and cracking and several frost heaves and culvert dips have been identified. The purpose of the project is to preserve and extend the structural integrity of the pavement to provide a safe and efficient highway system.

Traffic impacts: The project will be constructed under traffic. During working hours, traffic may be reduced to one lane using flagging operations. Due to the length of the work zone during the cold-in-place recycling operations, there will be a pilot car on site assisting with the flagging by guiding traffic through the work zone at a consistent speed.
