{"id":12,"date":"2026-01-14T13:29:24","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T19:29:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/silvernailpavement\/full-project-overview\/"},"modified":"2026-02-09T16:20:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T22:20:49","slug":"full-project-overview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/silvernailpavement\/full-project-overview\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Details"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This WisDOT project will replace approximately 1.2 miles of pavement along Silvernail Frontage Road (I-94 frontage), between Maple Avenue and Elmhurst Road, in Waukesha County.<\/p>\n<h3>Additional Project Improvements Include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Replace old pavement with new pavement structure (subgrade, base, asphalt)<\/li>\n<li>Shoulder improvements<\/li>\n<li>Cross culvert and driveway culvert replacement<\/li>\n<li>Upgrades to signing and marking throughout the project limits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Traffic Impacts:<\/h3>\n<p>Silvernail Frontage Road will be closed to through traffic during construction. Local access to businesses and residences will be maintained. A detour will be utilized during construction.<\/p>\n<p>Detour: Golf Road (frontage road on north side of I-94) via Maple Avenue and Elmhurst Road.<\/p>\n<p>There will be no impact to traffic on I-94.<\/p>\n<p>WisDOT encourages all motorists to visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/511wi.gov\/#:Alerts\">511wi.gov<\/a>\u00a0for the latest traffic updates.<\/p>\n<h3>Schedule:<\/h3>\n<p>This project is scheduled to begin in early 2026 and be completed by late summer 2026.
