{"id":9,"date":"2023-04-27T15:11:33","date_gmt":"2023-04-27T20:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/nwr5\/closures\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T16:45:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T21:45:11","slug":"trafficimpacts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/nwr5\/trafficimpacts\/","title":{"rendered":"Traffic Impacts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Motorists will encounter:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shoulder closures on northbound WIS 35 from Lanquist Street to Bradley Street; southbound WIS 35 from the WIS 35\/70 intersection to Bacon Street; and westbound WIS 70 from 1<sup>st<\/sup> Avenue to the WIS 35\/70 intersection<\/li>\n<li>Lanes closures controlled by flagging on north- and southbound WIS 35 from Southshore Drive to the roundabout\n<ul>\n<li>No lane closures will be in place for the holiday weekend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The closure of County B from WIS 35 to 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the pavement replacement portion of the project, anticipated to start the week of June 8, only southbound traffic will be allowed on WIS 35 from Lanquist Street to Southshore Drive, and northbound car and all heavy truck traffic will be detoured.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Northbound car detour: County B, 4th Avenue North and Elizabeth Street<\/li>\n<li>Truck detour: WIS 70\/MN 70, I-35 (MN), MN 48\/WIS 77 and WIS 35<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once the pavement is replaced on one side of the highway, work will switch to the other side.
