{"id":12,"date":"2026-01-14T13:27:37","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T19:27:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/83wales\/full-project-overview\/"},"modified":"2026-03-03T14:01:13","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T20:01:13","slug":"full-project-overview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/83wales\/full-project-overview\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Details"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This WisDOT project will make various improvements to approximately 3.1 miles of WIS 83 (Wales Road), between Perkins Road and Glacier Pass in the village of Wales, Waukesha County.<\/p>\n<h3>Improvements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Resurface WIS 83 within project limits (Perkins Road to Glacier Pass).<\/li>\n<li>Curb ramp and sidewalk improvements within corridor<\/li>\n<li>Polymer overlay on bridge deck over Glacier Drumlin State Trail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Traffic Impacts:<\/h3>\n<p>Traffic will be maintained along WIS 83 during construction. Motorists can expect:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Long-term single lane closures<\/li>\n<li>Flagging operations during certain stages of construction<\/li>\n<li>Minimal overnight full closures at roundabouts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained during construction.<\/p>\n<h3>Schedule<\/h3>\n<p>This project is scheduled to begin in mid-March 2026 and be completed in summer 2026.
